How do I place an order?

You can place an order in one of 3 ways:

  1. Online, on the website available for collection at the guesthouse in Lilongwe or delivery to Lilongwe, Zomba, Thyolo, Blantyre (minimum order), or by courier to other parts of the country.
  2. At the shop at the Wines & Wings Guesthouse
  3. By email. We send out regular newsletters with details of our pricelists, next shipments as well as sharing these on our social media channels. Please do email us at sales@winesandwings.com with any questions or orders.

How do I make payment?

Payment can be made in cash at the shop, alternatively by online transfer, please contact us to request our bank details.

How do I know what wines to pick? Can you advise wines to be picked?

Have a chat with us. Not only have we been brushing up on our wine knowledge, we have been trying the wines so if you let us know your flavour profiles we can let you know what we think suits. Once we have had a chat, we will make some suggestions based on your likes and dislikes, so be honest! Or if you would like to take our palate profile quiz which only takes about 3 minutes to complete, drop us and email and we will send it to you to complete. We will then get back to you with our recommendations based on your answers. Of course, if you wish to visit the shop you can have a browse and see what you like (or on the online shop). We will be running tasting events throughout the year so make sure you come along to those to help you discover your flavour palate.

What if I do not like the wine?

Unfortunately, we cannot offer a refund on wine that has been opened and tasted however if you bought several of the same bottle and are unhappy with it you may come to the shop to discuss swapping the unopened bottles for something else (any cost increase will be at your own expense).

What if the wine is corked?

If the wine is corked or the bottle is damaged, please return it to us ASAP and we will sort out an alternative.

What are the memberships?

A monthly membership is an exclusive subscription service that allows you first access to our events and a delivery of wines each month. The varying levels offer differing advantages.

Can I visit the shop?

Yes! We have a small shop open from 8am – 5.30pm Monday – Friday and 9am – 4pm on Saturdays, at the Wines & Wings Guesthouse. You can find the shop at 13(383) Mphungu Rd, Area 12. The house is just off presidential way, if you pass 4 seasons on your right you will see a left hand turn with a ‘Peoples’ sign, turn left here and follow the road as it turns to the left, you will find us on this bend (right near Orchid restaurant). You can also find us on Google Maps if you search ‘Wines & Wings’.

    Someone will be around to assist you with purchasing and carrying the wine during opening hours, however if you wish to chat to someone about which wine to purchase it would be best to schedule in a meeting by emailing or calling us.

    Whilst we will be holding regular events there will be no food on site to purchase however you are welcome to purchase and drink the wine or beer in our gardens during opening hours. Please note we also have a yoga studio which hosts various yoga classes in the garden. If you wish to hear more, please follow Lotte Yoga.

Can I make a special-order request for a wine you don’t currently sell?

Yes, please get in touch with us to find out if we are able to import the specific wine you are looking for. Do remember that the wonderful wines we bring in are from our preferred partners so these prices will be more competitive.

Can I buy vouchers for friends?

Yes, we offer a voucher service. Perhaps it’s someone’s birthday, Christmas, or you just want to spoil someone special, instead of having to work out or remember what they like, you can simply get them a voucher and they can pop in to pick up their favourite.

Can I send out gifts?

Yes, you can make an order of wine to be delivered to a friend or family member, remember minimum 6 bottles for free delivery or a charge of MK6,000. We are also currently putting together gift hampers which can be tailor made, including wine and other goodies such as olive oils, hand-crafted soaps and more. You may wish to think about giving one of our vouchers as well which allows the recipient to choose their own wine!

Do you sell wines to trade?

Yes, if you are a bar, restaurant, shop, lodge or hotel, please do message us for more information about trade incentives and allowances.

I would like to learn more about wine

We will have several events on throughout the year at our guesthouse which is the perfect opportunity to learn more. We will also be on site to help you choose your wine and you are more than welcome to pick our brains. If you would like to learn further, we do have selective access to many online tutorials and would be happy to share access or arrange a viewing for you.
