The nose shows dark red berries, some white pepper and a little ‘fynbos’. The wine is rich but bright at the same time, giving lovely balance to the wine as it finishes with grippy tannins and toastiness. A wine that can be enjoyed in its youth, but should age gracefully for 8 years or so from vintage.
